SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. In a pneumatic tire with studded studs (P) embedded in the tread portion (1) in contact with the road surface, the area formed between a pair of tire meridians spaced at 0.8% of the length along the circumference of the tire at the equator (CL) of the tire is determined as stripe area (A). A plurality of strip areas (A) are arranged around the entire circumference of the pneumatic tire when the angle is offset by one degree along the circumferential direction of the tire. In addition, the plurality of striped regions includes concentrated regions (A') in which the number of tenon studs is four or more, and scattered regions (a) in which the number of tenon studs is three or less. A plurality of concentrated regions (A') is periodically provided among a plurality of strip regions (A) in the circumferential direction of the tire.
EFFECT: reduced pavement damage while improving on-ice performance.
