SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. In a pneumatic tire with studded studs (P) embedded in the road contact surface of the tread portion (1), the area defined between a pair of tire meridians spaced at 1/4 intervals of the ground contact patch length of the tire on the equatorial line (CL) of the tire is defined as a shroud region (A), and a plurality of shroud regions (A) are placed around the entire circumference of the tire when the angle is offset by one degree in the circumferential direction of the tire. Then, in the entire plurality of tread regions (A), the number n of stud studs (P) included in each of the tread regions (A) is 4.0% or less of the total number N of stud studs (P) around the entire circumference of the tire, and in 2/3 or more of the plurality of shroud regions, the number n of the spiked studs (A) included in the shroud region (A) is 2.0% or more of the total number N.
EFFECT: improving ride comfort characteristics on dry road surfaces while improving performance on ice.
