FIELD: waste treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for preparing catalysts. A method for preparing a catalyst for deep CO oxidation containing transition metal oxides or mixtures thereof and an oxide carrier as an active component is described, characterized by the fact that the catalyst granules are obtained by extrusion of a plasticized mass consisting of an active component based on transition metal oxides or a mixture thereof with a content, weight percentage, of at least 50 %wt. in terms of dry matter, aluminum hydroxide, peptic acid and water, followed by pelletizing the extrudates to granules, drying and calcining, while the catalyst is obtained, containing aluminum oxide as an oxide carrier in an amount of, weight percentage, no more than 50 %wt., and as an active component Fe2O3 in an amount of 48-75 %wt., as well as CuO, and/or Mn2O3, and/or Co2O3, and/or Cr2O3 in an amount of 2-10 %wt., weight percentage.
EFFECT: increased activity of the catalyst.
