FIELD: waste treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of methods for the preparation of deep oxidation catalysts and methods for burning sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plants. A method for preparing a catalyst is described, in which the catalyst granules are obtained by liquid molding of a plasticized mass consisting of an active component based on transition metal oxides or a mixture of them with a content of at least 50 % wt., weight percentage, (in terms of dry matter), aluminum hydroxide, peptizer acid and water, into an ammonia solution through a layer of hydrocarbon liquid, drying and calcining, while a spherical catalyst containing aluminum oxide as an oxide carrier in an amount of not more than 50 % wt., weight percentage, and as the active component, Fe2O3 in the amount of 48-75 % wt., as well as CuO in the amount of 0 % wt., 2-3 % wt., 3.5-6 % wt. and/or Mn2O3 and/or Co2O3 and/or Cr2O3 in the amount of 2-10 % wt. A method for burning sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plants in a fluidized bed of a catalyst obtained by the proposed method is described.
EFFECT: high activity of the claimed deep oxidation catalyst prepared by liquid molding, which affects the degree of burnout of sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plants during their combustion, the high mechanical strength of the catalyst in the fluidized bed mode and the reduction of catalyst losses during operation due to the narrow distribution of catalyst granules by size.
