REDUNDANT FOLLOWER ELECTRIC DRIVE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC H02P5/485 B64C13/50 H02K7/116 F16H1/16

Abstract RU 2750811 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to redundant follower electric drives usable as actuating apparatuses (steering drives) in aircraft flight control systems and, particularly, in a control system of the swashplate(s) of an unmanned helicopter. The redundant electric follower drive comprises: a first and a second engines (5, 6) connected with the first and second worm gear wheels (9, 10), wherein the worm gears (9, 10) can only transmit force in one direction. Absolute position sensors (13, 14) are mechanically connected with an output shaft (12) and electrically and informationally connected with control systems (3, 4). The control system allows evenly distributing the contact time of different sections of these parts with the engaging parts without changing the position of the output shaft. The position sensors (1, 2) are mechanically connected with the first (5) and the second (6) engines and also electrically and informationally connected with the control systems (3, 4). A differential is used in form of a summing apparatus, allowing placing the drives on the upper and lower disks of the main rotor column of an unmanned coaxial helicopter.

EFFECT: reduced height of the drive, increased resource thereof, increased fault tolerance of the drive and fault safety of the helicopter control system, reduced backlash of the output shaft.
