FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of construction of earthworks, mainly in the Far North, it can be used, for example, in the construction of an earth bed, road embankments, dams, weirs from connected soils at subzero air temperatures in areas of permafrost and frozen soils. Method for constructing earthworks at subzero temperatures is proposed, including layer-by-layer laying of frozen soil and its compaction during the formation of an earthwork. Layer (3) of crushed stone and gruss is laid on filled frozen soil (1); coal mixed with sawdust (4) is laid on top of it, in the thickness of which fire-conducting cord (2) is laid with the output of the ends to the surface. After that, layer (3) of crushed stone and gruss is laid again, and layer of frozen soil (1) is poured on it and the cycle of layer-by-layer laying is repeated with the output of fire-conducting cord (2) ends to the surface from both sides of the earthwork. After that, the fire-conducting cord is ignited on both sides of the earthwork, and, thereby, layers (4) of coal with sawdust are ignited, and a uniform heating and compaction of the layers of frozen soil are performed. Layers (3) of crushed stone and gruss form reinforcing layers that increase the strength and stability of the earthwork.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to accelerate the compaction of the soil and to increase strength and stability of the earthwork.
