FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, represents the design of the power steering with an electric drive and can be used in the design of trucks and buses with both steered axles with independent wheel suspension and axles with a continuous beam. The power steering mechanism with an electric drive contains a planetary gearbox and an electric motor with a control system, which are made in the form of blocks. The gearbox consists of two planetary gears, in which the driving sun gears 20, 21 are hollow and located coaxially with the shaft 5 of the driving sun gear of the steering mechanism. The driving sun gear 20 of the first planetary gear is mounted on the output end of the hollow shaft 15 of the rotor 14 of the electric motor. The driving sun gear 21 of the second planetary gear is mounted on the downstream end of the carrier 24 of the first gear. The output end of the carrier 25 of the second planetary gear is connected to the shaft 5 of the driving sun gear 6 of the steering mechanism.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of adjustment of transmission ratios of the power-assisted steering mechanism, using various layout options.
