SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of the pulp and paper industry and concerns a method for the production of paper or cardboard. Paper or cardboard is produced with a weight in the range of 125-600 g/m², preferably 150-210 g/m², wherein the glue agent for the paper contains maleinated vegetable oil and alkenyl succinic anhydride (ASA), which is added to the fibrous raw material, including at least 80 wt.% of recycled fibrous material, and is characterized by a calcium concentration of at least 500 mg/l in terms of CaO.

EFFECT: invention provides a cost-effective method for the production of a paper or cardboard product with increased glue efficiency, in particular the production of paper for gypsum panels with increased sizing efficiency.
