SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the compositions of sizing agents, to a method for producing a stabilized sizing composition, to the use of a stabilized sizing composition, and to a method for producing an anionically charged derivative of a non-food polysaccharide. Stabilized sizing composition contains xylan or arabinogalactan or a mixture thereof, where the anionically charged derivative of the non-food polysaccharide is prepared by modifying the non-food polysaccharide with a carboxymethyl reagent, contacting them in solution and obtaining a dispersion. Composition according to the invention is used for sizing paper and paper products.
EFFECT: providing a composition of a sizing agent whose components have non-food origin and provide better stability in applying.
