FIELD: road system.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of traffic regulation. Pedestrian crosswalk with a forced vehicle stop system, consisting of road signs, a pedestrian zebra for pedestrian traffic, two white cross lanes on each side of the roadway in front of the pedestrian zebra, indicating the stop lines before the crossing with additional information signs installed on both sides 100 and 50 meters away from the pedestrian zebra, equipped with a device for forcibly stopping vehicles on each lane of the road, consisting of frames. They contain rubber cylinders treated with a reflective compound, connected to a compressor controlled by a control unit through hoses passing under the asphalt surface, and triggered in the case of two events: the presence of a pedestrian on a pedestrian zebra, recorded by weight sensors installed in platforms located on the sidewalk and roadway; the absence of speed reduction in a vehicle approaching the pedestrian zebra, determined by video cameras combined with a device for measuring the speed of the vehicle, located on poles with road signs.
EFFECT: greater pedestrian safety is achieved.
