SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pyrotechnic warhead or mass in a projectile, in particular, in the medium-caliber range. Proposed is projectile (9) with at least one body (10) of the projectile containing the top (3) and the tail (4), as well as with a combat weight (5). The combat weight (5) is at least one non-detonating pyrotechnic set. The projectile (9) is made without an explosive and a detonator. A core (14) is made in the shell of the projectile, which closes and seals the non-detonating pyrotechnic combat mass. The core (14) consists of a material that has a lower density than the shell (10). The material of the core (14) is metal or polymer material. The core (14) has an opening (15) into which the penetrator (11) enters. The core (14) is located at least partially on the penetrator (11). The hole (15) is matched to the outer geometry of the penetrator (11). A non-detonating pyrotechnic mass (5) is placed between the body (10) of the projectile and the penetrator (11), partially or completely placed around the penetrator (11), is located in an annular manner around the penetrator, is a mass for creating the effect of burning, fog, sparkling and/or crackling. The shell (10) of the projectile has a predetermined destruction location along the perimeter.

EFFECT: creation of an armor-piercing projectile, with the formation of fragments, as well as pyrotechnic effects.
