FIELD: engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of equipment repair, particularly, to restoration of worn mounting holes for rolling bearings in base parts by applying polymer coatings. Described is a method for restoration of worn mounting holes in base parts using a coating of a polymer composite solution, including preparation of the hole, layer-by-layer application of a polymer composite solution combined with drying each layer of the coating at room temperature, heat treatment of the coating at an elevated temperature and subsequent calibration to a predetermined size, characterised by the fact that a base layer of a polymer composite filled with a metal nanosized powder is initially applied, constituting from 60 to 80% of the thickness of the coating, then the outer layer of an unfilled polymer is applied, constituting from 20 to 40% of the thickness of the coating, and thermal treatment of the coating is executed in two stages: at the first stage, the coating is sustained at a temperature 5°C below the boiling point of the solvent until the solvent is evaporated, and at the second stage, sustained at predetermined elevated temperature and time providing the maximum specific fracture energy of the material.

EFFECT: improved quality and operating life of polymer coatings, reduced contact stresses and increased operating life of the bearing, the bearing unit as a whole and the base part during operation, reduced energy consumption for restoration of mounting holes in the base parts.
