FIELD: braking devices.
SUBSTANCE: composite shoes are used to obtain the braking effect in the braking devices of railway freight and passenger cars and electric trains. The shoe of a railway rolling stock includes a friction material (element) and a metal frame, which consists of a polymer friction material (element) 1 and a metal frame. Polymeric friction material (element) is a composite containing a polymer binder and dispersed, including fibrous, fillers and steel wool. The metal frame includes a back 2 with stamped projections 5, with four or more holes 6 or four or more notches with a fold 7 for better fastening of element 1 with the back of the metal frame 2 and the back (boss) 3 with holes for passing a check with a U-shaped insert 4, the width of the back of the shoe frame is selected in the range of 0.9÷0.95 of the width, and the length of the back of the shoe frame is in the range of 0.9÷0.95 of the length of the shoe.
EFFECT: invention improves the performance of the shoe by increasing the flexibility of the shoe.
