SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway transport, namely to the brake pads of railway rolling stock. A brake pad of a railway rolling stock contains a friction element and a metal frame, and the frame of the pad is made in the form of a solid plate with stamped protrusions with two or more holes and a back in the central part of the frame, the friction element consists of two parts, between which an open space is formed for passing retaining keys, the friction element is made of metal-ceramic material.

EFFECT: improvement in the performance characteristics of the pad by increasing thermal conductivity through the use of a friction element made of metal-ceramic material and increasing the flexibility of the pad.
