FIELD: rocket engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for launching payloads into low-earth orbits using multistage rockets with booster blocks. According to the method, autonomous low-thrust propulsion systems (PS) with multiple switching on are installed on the detachable elements of the rocket (including as part of its space warhead). In the pauses between the launches of the main propulsion systems of the rocket stages (and before the launch of the propulsion system of the upper stage), the indicated low-thrust propulsion systems are switched on to ensure the oriented position of the rocket (warhead) in space. When a given height is reached, at the command of the control system, the connections of the PS and the detachable elements on which they are installed are broken with the rocket and they are dropped.
EFFECT: invention increases the mass of the output payload.
