FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a cellular ceramic catalyst containing at least pore catalytically inactive cells forming a porous structure embedded in a matrix including inorganic particles. The specified catalytically inactive cells are at least partially surrounded by an active boundary layer containing a catalytically active material. The method includes stages on which: a) functional particles are provided including a catalytically inactive pore forming agent as a support, having a particle size in the range from 10 to 200 mcm, surrounded by a layer of catalytically active material; b) functional particles are processed using inorganic particles containing a binder component forming a ceramic matrix selected from clays, metal oxides or sols based on aluminum oxide, silicon oxide or titanium oxide, to obtain a catalytic composition; c) a molded array is formed from the specified catalytic composition by extrusion, and d) the specified molded array is subjected to heat treatment to obtain a cellular ceramic catalyst, while the specified pore catalytically inactive cells are formed by the mentioned pore forming agent present in functional particles, and they have a size in the range from 10 to 200 mcm, and the specified active boundary layer contains the catalytically active material of the layer of functional particles. The invention also relates to an extruded cellular catalytic product for the processing of exhaust gases and to functional particles.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of NO conversion compared to the SCR catalyst produced in the usual way.
