FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and concerns a method for the treatment of periodontitis, including daily or every other day introduction of a therapeutic paste containing a biologically active additive “Yagel”, zinc oxide and an oil solution of vitamin “A”, into a pathological periodontal pocket, while the daily procedure includes no more than one paste application, the course of treatment is 7-10 procedures, where the therapeutic paste contains birch bark extract “Betulin”, while the ratio of components is, weight percentage: biologically active additive “Yagel”, dry residue 10-11, birch bark extract “Betulin” 10-11, zinc oxide 49-50, an oil solution of vitamin “A” 28-31.
EFFECT: invention provides the reverse development of the inflammatory and destructive process of periodontal tissues with the disappearance of symptoms of bleeding and swelling of the gums in patients with chronic periodontitis.
