SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for the collection and processing of operational cycle information in relation to the electrical switch cabinet of an industrial installation. A method and system are proposed for collecting and processing operational cycle information in relation to the switch cabinet of an industrial installation with a documentation server for connecting the specification information of embedded modules installed in the switch cabinet on the basis of a planned design to functional information in relation to their use in the context of the switch cabinet equipment in order to store this information in a central archival information base under the individual identifier of the switch cabinet in data records. The test and acceptance information of the switch cabinet is added to the data records of the central archival information base through the documentation server, taking into account at least the specification information, in order to initiate a start-up message for the switch cabinet.

EFFECT: technical result is preventing errors during the start-up or subsequent operation of the switch cabinet.
