FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely orthopedic dentistry, and can be used in the planning of removable and non-removable orthopedic structures in the study and creation of functional occlusion and other types of treatment. The device for determining the maxillofacial structure of the face includes a U-shaped occlusal plate made in one piece with a base, a handle and two lateral index plates. In the occlusal plate with rounded edges in the center along the axial line, a U-shaped cutout is made with a width of 22 mm, a length of 32 mm and twelve through holes with diameters of 3, 5 mm each are made, the distance between six holes of 17 mm relative to the middle line of the plate and six other holes are located symmetrically to the left and right sides of the plate at a distance of 22 mm from the middle line. There are two side holes and one central hole at the base of the occlusal plate. In the two side holes, pins with washers are installed, connecting the side index plates with hinges and a wheel-shaped screw with a connection to the Camper’s horizontal. A bushing with a diameter of 8 mm is fixed in the central hole, a removable pointer of the middle line of the face, curved at an angle of 150° with plastic tips and face supports installed in the upper and lower parts in the form of round disks fixed in the bushings, in which holes with diameters of 4 mm are made and adjusting fixing screws are installed. A removable plastic oval-shaped plate with a mid-face pointer is installed on the occlusal plate, on the inner surface of which four positional pins and a clip securing the copy paper are installed.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to provide effective high-quality prosthetics with aesthetic and functional occlusion, to exclude possible complications after treatment.
