FIELD: timber industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the timber industry, in particular to the implementation of selective felling and care felling in plantings with two-row placement of forest crops. The felling of trees with the top on the drag, pruning of branches and laying them on the drag, used for tractor skidding are performed. The felling of the trees of the second row of each narrow strip adjacent to the drag with a two-row placement of forest crops is carried out with the top in the direction of the neighboring drag at an angle between it and the fallen trees not exceeding A2=arc sin (b/H), where H is the height of the forest stand, b is the width of the lane between rows.
EFFECT: invention ensures the minimization of mechanical damage left for rearing after felling trees.
