FIELD: image data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus for image processing, as well as to a three-dimensional imaging system. The technical result is achieved by obtaining a two-dimensional image subject to processing; combining said two-dimensional image with the model of the grid; using a grid matching table to match said two-dimensional image to create a first image, wherein the grid matching table is used to express correlation between the cells with images; mirroring the first image to create a second image; combining the first image with the second image to create a superimposed first and second images. The present invention uses a model of a grid and a grid matching table to match said two-dimensional image to simulate the image received by the left eye and the image received by the right eye of a person; matching is performed on one two-dimensional image only once, forming the image received by the left eye and the image received by the right eye.
EFFECT: reduced number of stages of image processing, allowing to reduce the processing time and to further transform a superimposed two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional image in real time.
