FIELD: engineering of systems for generating colored stereo-images, possible use for creating stereoscopic computer monitors and television sets.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, "left" and "right" colored frames of a stereo-pair are generated, "left" and "right" colored frame of stereo-pair are distributed across two different sets of base colors Zleft and Zright respectively (a set of base colors includes, at least, three spectrally independent colors), "left" and "right" colored frames of stereo-pair are displayed simultaneously with usage of sets of base colors Zleft and Zright respectively ("left" frame - with usage of the set of base colors Zleft, "right" frame - with usage of the set of base colors Zright), colors of sets Zleft and Zright are filtered in such a way that left eye of a spectator sees "left" frame of stereo-pair without seeing "right" frame, and right eye of the spectator sees "right" frame of stereo-pair and without seeing "left" frame.
EFFECT: generation of colored stereo-image with high definition, without geometrical distortions, at maximum resolution and with broad field of view.
