FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a computer-implemented logging client for determining a protocol for use in a medical procedure. The logging client has an electronic connection to a server that has access to a database that includes several procedure records, each of which corresponds to a past medical procedure and contains objective information about the past medical procedure and a subjective assessment of the result of the past medical procedure. The objective information contains at least information about a patient who was subjected to the past medical procedure and information about the protocol used for the past medical procedure. The subjective assessment of the result of the past medical procedure includes a special opinion on the quality of the result of the past medical procedure. The logging client includes a protocol management application that has an electronic connection to the server and a medical device. The protocol management application is configured to (a) receive from the logging client information about the test patient for whom the medical procedure is to be performed, (b) determine the proposed protocol based on consideration of (i) information about the test patient, and (ii) objective information and subjective assessment contained in several procedure records, accessed through the database, so that the proposed protocol includes at least the operating parameters of the medical device that will be used to perform the medical procedure, (c) deliver the proposed protocol to the medical device to enable the client operator to protocol the medical procedure that is thus to be performed on the test patient, in accordance with the operating parameters of the proposed protocol or its modification, (d) enable the operator to make a subjective assessment of the result of the medical procedure performed on the test patient, (e) collect objective information about the medical procedure performed on the test patient, (f) generate a record of the procedure performed on the test patient, including objective information about the medical procedure performed on the test patient, and subjective assessment of the result of the medical procedure performed on the test patient, and (g) store in a database the procedure record relatively to the test patient. The medical procedure includes a visualization procedure with enhanced contrast, and the medical device includes at least one insertion system and a visualization system.
EFFECT: provided is possibility of forming a protocol for conducting a medical procedure with the determination of the operating parameters of the medical device.
