FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and can be used for simulation of propagation of a contrast agent in a patient. For this purpose a physiologically proved pharmacokinetic model is used containing one nonlinear period of saturation in the peripheral venous compartment. Herewith the exogenous administration of the contrast agent is determined by the non-linear input function uexog(t)≡=Cinj(t)·Qinj(t), where Cinj(t) is the concentration of the contrast enhancing agent as a function of time and Qinj(t) is the flow rate of the contrast agent administration as a function of time, herewith Qinj(t) is a constant equal to the specified maximum administration flow rate having flow rates of administration equal to or greater than the specified maximum administration flow rate. Also proposed is a system for simulation of the contrast agent propagation.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables eliminating undesirable side effects associated with excessive administration of a contrast agent into a patient.
