FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling the annealing of metal strip 100 in annealing furnace 200 to improve the product quality and increase productivity. The method provides that first, for a point or section of metal strip 100, at least one required material characteristic MESoll is set after passing through annealing furnace 200. In addition, information E is provided about the characteristics of the metal strip before or in the annealing furnace. Then, using a computer-generated model, depending on the required material characteristic and the specified information, required temperature distribution TSoll and/or required rate VSoll of metal strip 100 in annealing furnace 200 are calculated. The required temperature distribution and/or required rate calculated in this way are then adjusted in annealing furnace 200 to bring the material characteristic of the metal strip behind the annealing furnace to required material characteristic MESoll.
EFFECT: improvement of the product quality and increase in productivity.
