FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for sampling seabed soil in marine research, consisting in submerging a sampling tube into the soil and lifting to the surface together with the contents thereof, wherein a rotating spiral is embedded into the soil, then a tube equal to the diameter of the spiral is embedded under pressure to a depth greater by 1 to 2 cm than the embedding depth of the spiral, and the tube is lifted to the surface together with the spiral, and to an apparatus for implemention of the method for sampling seabed soil in marine research, containing a frame on a cable with a tube, ballast and a video camera attached thereto, wherein several tubes are installed on the frame, wherein located in each of said tubes is a sampling spiral fixed on a profile axis extending through the rotation drive, located at the top whereof is a locking apparatus with a mass defining the force of embedding the spiral into the seabed.
EFFECT: invention allows sampling seabed soil in the ocean for marine research.
