FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the metallurgy of non-ferrous metals and can be used in the processing of lead cakes containing indium. The method involves high-temperature leaching of the pulp of lead cake containing indium, followed by the separation of the insoluble residue. Before leaching, the pulp of lead cake is filtered with the addition of an auxiliary substance, a copolymer of acrylamide c (2-acrylamidopropyl)- trimethylammonium chloride in an amount of 0.025-0.033% of the weight of the lead cake.
EFFECT: method provides an increase in the extraction of indium and zinc, eliminating the violation of the sulfate balance of zinc production.
