SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to pet care items, in particular to litters for small animals at home, cages, aviaries. Clumping wood litter is characterized by the fact that softwood pellets with a minimum bark content (no more than 5%), having a diameter of 6-8 mm and a length of no more than 30 mm and having a moisture content of no more than 6-8% are used as a basis. The type of scales has dimensions from 4 to 10 mm and a bulk density from 0.4 to 0.46 kg/l. Guar gum is used as a stabilizer, and flattened plants from the grass family are used to form an adhesive component between the particles. At the same time, the composition of the clumping wood litter includes, wt.%: 

EFFECT: invention creates a litter that is safe for pets and the environment that has antiseptic and bactericidal properties, increased absorbency, a reduced product consumption and does not get stuck between the pads and prevents further spread around the room.
