FIELD: domestic animals.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to low-density filler for domestic animals lavatories and a method for production thereof. Method of making a filler for domestic pets includes pressing material containing clay and fine fractions of expanded perlite, to form compacted material containing fine fractions of expanded perlite. At that pressing is performed under pressure from approximately 500 pounds/sq. inch to about 1300 pounds per square inch. Injection is used. Further, compacted material containing fine fractions of expanded pearlite is decomposed to form pressed material particles containing fine fractions of expanded perlite. Method then includes separating particles whose size is within a predetermined size range from other particles, and drying particles, which size is within preset size range. Dried particles are used as at least part of filler for toilets for domestic animals, and filler for lavatories for domestic animals does not contain activated carbon.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining filler, having low density, good integrity and high absorbing capacity.
