FIELD: domestic animals.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to low-density filler for domestic animals lavatories and a method for production thereof. Method for making filler for toilets for domestic animals includes pressing material containing fine fractions of expanded perlite, to form pressed material containing foamed pearlite. At that pressing is performed under pressure from approximately 500 pounds/sq. inch to about 1300 pounds per square inch. Injection is used. Then, compacted material containing expanded perlite is destructed to produce pressed material particles containing expanded pearlite. Method then includes separating particles whose size is within a predetermined size range from other particles, and drying particles whose size is within a predetermined size range. Dried particles are used as at least part of filler for pets lavatories, wherein the pet food for domestic animals does not contain activated carbon.

EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining filler, having low density, good integrity and high absorbing capacity.
