FIELD: environmental protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to protect the environment from oil pollution. The main purpose is the post-purification of reservoir waters from emulsified petroleum products with the use of a highly dispersed magnetite sorbent at oil-producing and oil-refining enterprises for the extraction of oil emulsion drops from water with globule sizes less than 10 mcm, covered with a layer of highly dispersed magnetite (with particle sizes of about 10 nm). The neodymium magnetic separator includes a cylindrical case made of non-magnetic plastic, inlet and outlet branch pipes and cassettes located in it. The cylindrical case is made closed at the ends and detachable along the body. The upper end is equipped with a removable cover with a cassette for the magnetic core. The lower part of the detachable case contains the inlet branch pipe of the purified liquid and the inlet branch pipe of the washing liquid, and it is provided with a seal and is hermetically sealed. Inside the main case, there is a ferromagnetic cartridge made of thin and round steel rods fixed in the end bases. The outer row of rods is assembled in the form of a “squirrel wheel”, and the inner row is formed in the form of a square-shaped through hole for coaxial placement of the cassette. In the center of the cassette, there is a square-section neodymium parallelepiped in the form of a core. The cartridge rods are placed inside in the form of a rhomb under the condition that the vectors of magnetic field strength are directed diagonally across the rhomb and are equipped with a heating element for demagnetizing the rods and cleaning the ferromagnetic cartridge from oil pollution. In the upper part of the case, there are outlet branch pipes for purification and washing, all branch pipes are equipped with valves.
