SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices and their use. A method for modifying a molecular sieve-based catalyst in a molecular sieve-based catalyst modification device is described, including introducing a molecular sieve-based catalyst, HZSM-5 and HZSM-11 molecular sieve-based catalyst, and a modifier into the modifying unit, respectively, via a feed unit, while the catalyst is modified by a modifier in the modifying unit and then released into the cooling unit to cool to a temperature of less than 50°C, and then the cooled modified catalyst is moved to any storage device, moreover, the modification is carried out in an atmosphere of an inert gas at a temperature in the range of 150 to 600°C for a modification time in the range of 0 to 10 hours; the modifier is at least one modifier selected from the phosphoric reagent, silylating reagent and toluene.

EFFECT: provided is possibility of applying the method for modifying the catalyst using the described device on an industrial scale.
