FIELD: medical microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical microbiology and namely to the diagnosis of leptospirosis. As a test strain for detecting antibodies to L. grippotyphosa, a bacterial strain Leptospira interrogans of serogroup Grippotyphosa of serovar grippotyphosa No. 353 "Bank vole 339" isolated from the kidney of the bank vole (Clethrionomis glareolus) is disclosed. The strain was deposited in the Russian collection of reference strains of pathogenic and saprophytic leptospira at the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after academician N.F. Gamalea with number 524. The strain displays pronounced antigenic and immunogenic properties.
EFFECT: use of the invention will make it possible to conduct epidemiological investigation of sporadic and group diseases of leptospirosis: serological diagnostics, identification of the source of infection in the focus of the disease as well as monitoring the spread of leptospirosis caused by pathogens of the serogroup Grippotyphosa both among humans and among various animal species.
