SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a communication system of an aircraft and a method for data transmission. The communication system contains an IP protocol network router and a network router of an address-reporting system of aviation communication, located in the aircraft and made with the possibility of transmitting data to the specified group of ground stations. For data transmission, data is received from the aircraft systems in the network router of the address-reporting system of aviation communication, the required number of communication lines of the address-reporting system of aviation communication or IP protocol communication lines is selected, data is transmitted using the IP protocol network router, when the network router of the address-reporting system of aviation communication selects an IP protocol communication line for data transmission to the specified group of ground stations.
EFFECT: data transmission costs are reduced by using the IP protocol.
