FIELD: wine production.
SUBSTANCE: screw cap (10a-10n) for wine bottles (B) includes external cap (2) screwed on bottle (B) and insert (11a-11n) inserted into external cap (2) and made with the possibility to be located between neck (13) of bottle (B) and external cap (2). Insert (11a-11n) contains metal foil (12) made with the possibility to contact directly with neck (13) of bottle (B) and overlap it. Metal foil (12) is made of precious metal or an alloy of precious metals that are inert at room temperature. Insert (11a-11n) contains gasket (14) located on metal foil (12) and having a radial length greater than metal foil (12). The outer rim of gasket (14) surrounds metal foil (12), while adjacent to neck (13) of bottle (B). The metal foil positively contributes to aging of wine, and the gasket prevents the radial displacement of the foil.
EFFECT: wine does not come into contact with the parts of the cap that can change its organoleptic properties.
