SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of perforating materials and is intended for making high-quality threaded holes in composite materials. A method for producing holes in a composite material consisting of layers of fiber-reinforced material pre-impregnated with a binder, stacked on top of each other and fixed under pressure, includes piercing the material with a piercing tool and installing an embedded element in the hole area. The installation of the embedded element is carried out simultaneously with the piercing of the composite material, while the thread is pre-applied to the inner surface of the embedded element. A device for obtaining holes in a composite material contains a tool for piercing holes made composite in the form of a rod with a tip from the upper part connecting to each other, the lower part with a tip and an embedded element located between them, made in the form of a sleeve with a thread on the inner surface and sharp points on the outer surface. The distance between the points is commensurate with the diameter of the reinforcing fibers of the composite material.

EFFECT: technological capabilities are expanded and the quality of the formed hole is improved.
