SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of pharmaceutics, namely to compositions for subcutaneous injections for reducing body weight of a subject with overweight or obesity. The use of composition is proposed that includes curcuminoid or curcuminoids and pharmaceutically acceptable derivative of polyoxyethylene castor oil or 2-hydroxyethyl-12-hydroxyoctadecanoate, forming a set of micelles containing curcuminoid, which are evenly distributed in pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous solution, in the production of a composition for subcutaneous injections for reducing body weight of a subject with overweight or obesity. At the same time, the value of the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB value) of pharmaceutically acceptable derivative of polyoxyethylene castor oil is greater than 10, and the total concentration of curcuminoid or curcuminoids in micelles containing curcuminoids in the composition for subcutaneous injections is from 0.4 to 167 mg/g. An option of the use of the specified composition, which additionally contains resveratrol, is also proposed. The group of inventions also relates to methods for reducing body weight of a subject with overweight or obesity, including the injection of the specified compositions for subcutaneous injections.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows for reducing body weight and visceral fat in subjects with overweight or obesity, and has the advantages of low doses, high stability, high bioavailability for fat tissue, minor side effects and delayed release.
