FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to alloying aluminum with refractory rare metals, specifically to the alloying of aluminum with tantalum. The method for alloying aluminum with tantalum includes the preliminary preparation of an aluminum melt with the introduction of an active reagent into the melt with subsequent exposure during stirring, while a mixture consisting of components used as the active reagent taken in the following ratio, wt.%: 40-45 KCl, 35-40 NaF, 10-15 AlF3, 5-10 Ta2O5, and before being introduced into the melt, the mixture is crushed with simultaneous stirring and dried at a temperature of 150-160°С.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at simplifying the technology of alloying aluminum with tantalum by using commercially available raw materials as starting components.
