FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, an alloying component as a part of a powder mixture is added to a melt by blowing with the mixture in a conveying gas jet. With that, the powder mixture is used, which consists of potassium fluoride, potassium chloride and aluminium fluoride at the following component ratio, wt %: potassium fluoride 25÷45, potassium chloride 50÷65, aluminium fluoride 5÷10, and an oxide of the corresponding metal in an amount of 10÷25 wt % of the total weight of the powder mixture is used as the alloying component. As a conveying gas, carbon oxide is used, which is supplied at the rate of 0.2-20 ndm3/min and under the pressure of 0.05-3.5 atm. As the alloying component, one or more oxides of a group of metals are used, which includes scandium, yttrium, hafnium and zirconium.
EFFECT: invention allows using readily available compounds of alloying metals, reducing the time of an operation for dilution of the alloying components and using low temperatures for the performance of the process.
