FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines operating on a duple cycle; it can be used in different industry sectors. A rotary-piston internal combustion engine contains a case with an internal cylindrical cavity closed with covers, a working body, and pistons conjugated with an internal surface of the case, in which working chambers are formed with the working body with pistons and the internal surface of the case. As the working body, a cylindrical rotor is placed eccentrically in the case cavity with the possibility of changing the eccentricity. The rotor does not touch the case. In the rotor body, there are at least two grooves located symmetrically along the rotation angle. The cross section of the rotor cylindrical cavity with the groove surface at an angle of -45° to +45° forms working and non-working rotor edges. As a piston, a displacement piston is mounted non-pivotally in the groove made in the form of a prism with internal and external cylindrical surfaces, which intersect forming working ribs. The working ribs come into contact with the cavity surface, and the internal surfaces come into contact with the working rotor edge. On the non-working rotor edge, a sample is made forming a combustion chamber together with the working chamber. Besides, in the case, there are intake and exhaust channels and a spark plug. In the rotor body and case cavity, the system of preloading the ribs of the displacement piston to the surface of the case cavity is placed. The direction of rotor rotation is set from the exhaust channel to the intake channel.

EFFECT: simplification of the engine, an increase in its specific power, torque and mechanical efficiency, and an increase in reliability and service life.
