FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines, hydraulic and pneumatic motors, compressors and rotary pumps. Rotary-piston machine, for instance, internal combustion engine, has housing with wavy working surface mated with pistons hinge-mounted on rotor for rocking. Engine working duct is formed by compression and expansion chambers between pistons and wavy surface, and intake and exhaust ports in housing. Central spaces under pistons form air cooling duct. Seals are used to provide reliable separation of working duct and air cooling spaces between pistons. Engine provides completion of 12-and 4-stroke cycles at one revolution of rotor. EFFECT: simplified design, increased efficiency and specific power, reduced overall dimensions. 6 cl, 2 dwg
