FIELD: power engineering; rotary volumetric compression and expansion engines: external heating and internal combustion engines, compressors and hydraulic machines such as pumps and hydraulic motors. SUBSTANCE: first invention considers machine consisting of stator with exchange ports and wave shaped working surface with four projections and four cavities mated with ends of six pistons hinge coupled with rotor. Second invention considers engine consisting of stator and rotors with pistons. inlet of heated duct of recuperative heat exchanger communicates through delivery valve with compression chamber, and outlet communicates through valve with heating chamber, inlet of heating duct being connected with outlet of expansion chamber. Heating chamber is arranged in stator and is connected with expansion chamber through filling valve. EFFECT: provision of balancing of working medium pressure forces, unloading of bearings, increased specific power output and increased efficiency. 9 cl, 13 dwg
