METHOD FOR PREDICTING RISK OF ISCHEMIC DAMAGE TO CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM OF MODERATE AND SEVERE SEVERITY IN FULL-TERM NEWBORNS BORN BY CAESAREAN SECTION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2753820 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to pediatrics, anesthesiology and resuscitation, obstetrics and gynecology, and relates to a method for predicting the risk of ischemic damage to the central nervous system of moderate severity in full-term newborns born by caesarean section. In umbilical cord blood on the 1st day of life, the values of the IL concentration in the umbilical cord blood, the concentration of aminotransferase - ALT, the total nitrogen NO2 and endogenous nitrogen NO2 in the cord blood are determined using the Apgar score at the 5th minute of life. Next, the diagnostic index (DI) is calculated using the formula. If DI is more than 0, it is concluded that there is no risk of developing ischemic damage to the central nervous system of moderate severity, and if DI is less than 0, a high risk of developing ischemic damage to the central nervous system of moderate severity is predicted.

EFFECT: invention allows predicting development of ischemic damage of the central nervous system of moderate and severe severity in full-term newborns born by caesarean section, and optimizing the tactics of managing this category of children.
