FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to neonatology and pediatrics, and can be used to predict the severity of cerebral ischemia in newborns born to mothers with preeclampsia. Cord blood tests are carried out. In full-term and premature newborns, the content of angiopoietin-1 is determined. If its value is equal to 2720 pg/ml or less, the absence of cerebral ischemia is predicted, if its value is in the range from 2721 to 3663 pg/ml - the development of cerebral ischemia of mild severity, in the range from 3664 to 5623 pg/ml - the development of cerebral ischemia of moderate severity, with its value of 5624 pg/ml or more - the development of cerebral ischemia of severe severity.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of simplifying and improving the accuracy of predicting the severity of cerebral ischemia in newborns born to mothers with preeclampsia, due to a clear distinction between prognostic criteria for mild, moderate and severe severity of this pathology.
