FIELD: storage.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sealed and heat-insulating tanks with membranes for storage and/or transportation of a fluid medium, e.g., a cryogenic fluid medium, as well as to a vessel for transportation of a cold liquid product, a method for loading or unloading a vessel, and a cold liquid product transfer system. A tank built into a supporting structure (6), wherein the tank wall comprises, in the direction of thickness: an auxiliary heat-insulating barrier (1) and a main heat-insulating barrier (3), consisting of adjacent insulating modules (5, 7, 17, 18, 26, 30, 36), containing a lining panel (10), a lower panel (9), and an insulating insert (8), a main sealed membrane (4) and an auxiliary sealed membrane (2). The tank wall therein comprises, in the direction of length: a first area (11) wherein the insulation modules (5, 7) include separators extending in the direction of thickness of the tank wall between the lining panel (10) and the lower panel (9) of said insulating modules (5, 7), a second area (12) wherein the insulating insert (8) of the insulating modules (5, 7) comprises a structural insulating foamed material, a transition area (14) located between the first area (11) and the second area (12), wherein the insulating modules (5, 7, 18, 26, 30, 36) are made so that the tank wall in said transition area (14) has at least one parameter selected from the thermal contraction coefficient and the elastic modulus in the direction of thickness of the tank wall, the value whereof is between the value of said at least one parameter of the first area (11) of the tank wall in the direction of thickness of the tank wall and the value of said at least one parameter of the second area (12) of the tank wall in the direction of thickness of the tank wall.
EFFECT: technical result consists in creating a smooth transition between the insulating modules of the first area with a first operational behaviour in the direction of thickness and the insulation modules of the second area with a second operational behaviour in the direction of thickness when said modules are subjected to changes in the pressure and/or temperature creating a drop in the thickness of the tank wall.
