FIELD: storage.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to sealed and heat-insulating tanks for storing liquefied gas. The tank comprises a wall with a heat-insulating barrier and a sealing membrane supported by said heat-insulating barrier. The heat-insulating barrier comprises two insulation panels, wherein each has an upper sheet forming a support surface whereon the sealing membrane rests. The upper sheet of one of the two insulation panels comprises a recess along the transverse edge of said insulation panel facing the other insulation panel. The recess therein extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction from one end of said insulation panel to the other so that the bars are not supported by the support surface of said insulation panel along said transverse edge of the insulation panel. Also described is a vessel for transporting a fluid medium, containing a double hull and said tank located in the double hull. Also described is a system for transferring a fluid medium, containing said vessel. Additionally described is a method for loading or unloading said vessel.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at reducing the width of the gaps between the insulation panels without a significant deterioration in the fatigue characteristics of the membrane.
