FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting, it can be used for simultaneous casting of two ingots. Crystallizer (1) contains two walls (5, 6) with holes (33a, 33b) and separator (3). The separator contains separation unit (9) with two outer surfaces (11, 12) separating inner space (7) of the crystallizer into two spaces, and at least one channel (55) for coolant to cool at least one outer surface (11, 12). The separation unit is affected by the clamping force from the first and second clamping pistons. At least one first clamping piston (31a) is passed through first hole (33a) made in first wall (5) of the crystallizer. At least one second clamping piston (31b) is passed through second hole (33b) made in second wall (5) of the crystallizer. Clamping pistons (31a, 31b) are moved by means of a drive each along its longitudinal axis to and from separation unit (9).
EFFECT: invention provides convenience and reduces the time of installation and disassembly of the separator.
