FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous metal casting. Melt jet (8) is fed from accumulation tank to horizontal crystallizer and workpiece (6) is pulled by its translational-rotational motion relative to inner surface of crystallizer. In the centre of the blank by means of tapered needle (16), which is installed in the crystalliser on the side opposite to drawing of the workpiece, a hole is formed, the diameter of which is larger than the diameter of the conical needle. Conical needle is imparted with rotary-oscillatory movements. Melt surface in crystalliser is heated by means of independent melting source (4).
EFFECT: enabling expansion of technical capabilities due to reduction of power inputs, reduction of production cycle, reduction of equipment dimensions.
