SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of protection of the installer in case of a possible fall at high-rise objects in the electric power industry, at high-voltage power transmission lines. The device contains a rigid anchor line in the form of a T-shaped profile guide with a shelf, slider-type personal protective equipment for the installer and a safety leash for the installer. In the shelf of the T-shaped profile guide, at least one row of blind or through holes is made along it. The installer’s personal protective equipment includes a housing made with a T-shaped groove, a stop lever made with a protrusion and equipped with a spring-driven rotary mechanism, and a shock absorber. When the protrusion enters the holes, the stop lever engages and stops the movement of the installer’s personal protective equipment with the stop lever protrusion resting on the surface of the hole in the T-shaped guide shelf and pressing the housing with a T-shaped groove to the T-shaped guide shelf. The method for using the device is also disclosed.
EFFECT: increase in the quality, safety and reliability of the locking operation, maintaining the strength level of the T-shaped profile structure, reducing the braking area, reducing the slip time, reducing the dynamic impact produced on the installer and the device parts.
