FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: ammunition magazine of a naval gun comprises, located under the rotary mount, a drum equipped with a rotary drive, two elevators fixed in the rotary mount, and an automatic supply system (ASS) containing an accumulator and a batch-operated hoist, located under the drum. The drum is made assembled from an even number of radially located multiple-load clips and is installed by means of an annular rotary support on a suspension, rigidly connected with the base of the naval gun. Each multiple-load clip is equipped with spring-loaded valves and a step feeder for retaining and stepping a row of shots towards the corresponding elevator, two elevators are placed inside the drum, located in the diametrical plane thereof and each equipped with a shot rammer for the elevator, and the drum rotation drive is attached in said suspension. The accumulator is made either in form of a sector-shaped platform attached in the under-turret compartment of the ship, installed whereon are retractable cassettes radially located in alignment with the multiple-load clips of the drum, each with the same capacity as the multiple-load clip, or in form of a rotary platform installed whereon are retractable cassettes radially located in alignment with the multiple-load clips of the drum, each with the same capacity as the multiple-load clip, the rotary platform is installed by means of an annular rotary support on said suspension and is equipped with a rotation drive attached in the suspension. The batch-operated hoist can be equipped with a fork-type working member made fan-like.
EFFECT: decreased dynamic load on the horizontal guidance drive, increased capacity of the drum, timed operation of equipping the drum with shots with technological breaks in firing for cooling the barrel.
